Stress Test - This is a simple test at the exam to determine if one has stress incontinence. The patient is asked cough or bear down in the supine or standing position, and the doctor watches for loss of urine.
Urodynamics - This test studies the way the bladder fills and empties. It is used to gather information on urinary leakage, frequent urination, and difficulty emptying. It is done at the office and takes about one hour.
Cystourethroscopy - This is a procedure used to evaluate the inside of the urethra and bladder. It is useful in evaluating urinary incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections, and bloody urine.
